Febraury 8, 2011 — Mrs. Snyder, second grade Kent City teacher submitted an essay and won a visit from WOOD TV 8/WOTV's Maranda. Second graders learned the importance of nutrition and exercise, played games featuring Crash, Tortois & Hare, Craig from Craig Cruisers, Zoe Reeves, 14 year old National Champion Bicyclist, Miss Rachel of Priority Health, and Miss Sherry from Meijer.

After learning how the heart rate can increase with exercise, children were treated to a healthy snack, a time to ask Maranda and John the camera man questions, get autographs of stars and give and recceive souvenirs to each other. The show featuring Maranda and the class will air Saturday, February 12, on WOTV4 7:30 am & pm, WOOD TV8 at 6:30 pm and online Monday, February 14 after 12 noon.
